After working with a physiotherapist to rehab an injury during his track and field season, Jay knew that physiotherapy and helping people get back to what they love was what he wanted to do. He went on to complete an Honours Bachelor of Physcial and Health Education degree at Nipissing University, along with his M.Sc. in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University.
Over his 2 years at Queen’s, Jay had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including the Hotel Dieu chronic pain clinic and with the Peterborough Petes of the OHL. Jay has treated a variety of patients and injuries ranging from everyday occupational injuries and amateur athletes, to high level athletes looking to return to sport. He also has experience both playing and treating athletes from a variety of sports including hockey, track and field, volleyball, and more.
Jay is able to use his knowledge in movement, exercise, and manual therapy to create individual programs that assist people in reaching their goals. He believes in working with his patients to find the root cause of their dysfunction to not only improve their current function, but also prevent future injury. He is always learning to provide the best evidence-based care possible. In his spare time he is likely playing sports or in the gym. Regardless of your injury, lifestyle or skill level, Jay is committed to helping you reach your goals and get back to what you love.
