After having completed a M.Sc. in Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Amir quickly realized that he needed to see a direct impact of his work in an applied setting. Living an active lifestyle with an enthusiasm for sports, alongside his friendly and personable character, Amir decided that physiotherapy would be a great fit. He completed his M.H.Sc. in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa, allowing him to fulfill his need to help others attain their health and well-being related goals.
With an emphasis on evidence-based treatment tailored to patients’ functional needs, Amir utilizes his skills in manual therapy, individualized exercise prescription, detailed patient education and involvement in treatment plan prescription, and therapeutic modalities to deliver the best possible care. He puts a focus on targeting the problem from the source to prevent re-injury. He has expanded his expertise through completing courses in Acupuncture & Dry Needling, Manual Therapy, and Mackenzie Technique. Combining his growing knowledge base, his background in molecular biology, and his ability to speak both French and English, Amir aims to help optimize patients’ lifestyles towards the ultimate goal of improved quality of life.
